Since December, our life has been a whirlwind to say the least! Because of how busy we've been, blogging has definitely been neglected (although it's fun, it's not a priority!!) Our camera also broke, so for the past 5 months, we've been taking pictures with our cell phones. These pictures aren't 10 Mega pixels....but they'll have to do!

Jenna graduated in December. Congratulations!

Just after Graduation, we spent our last night in Utah at SLCC watching Kama play basketball. It was a blast spending some time with family before we hit the road.

Within 24 hours of Jenna's Graduation, we packed up and moved from the friendly confines of Ogden, Utah to Coeur d' Alene. These pictures are obviously out-dated, but Coeur d' Alene is such a beautiful place, especially now that the sun is out. Pine tree's, crystal clear lakes, and lots and lots of fresh air! If anyone needs a vacation, call us. I promise you won't be disappointed.

This last week I was able to go on a little vaca to the east coast. A great friend of mine graduated from Brandeis University in Boston and a sister-in-law of mine lives in New York. Originally my mom sisters and Brad were going to join but the flights were a little tight. I absolutely loved seeing the busy city of New York and the beauty of Boston. It was a busy but enjoyable weekend that I will never forget. For those who have yet to see the East Coast, I defenitly recommend it!

This last weekend I was able to see Kellen, my little brother, graduate from the NAVY's basic training camp. It was one of the most inspiring events I have ever been to and something that I will never forget. He looked so handsome in his sailor uniform and was the same wonderful Kellen I grew up with. Being on the Naval base that day, I was able to get a glimpse of what Boot Camp is really like and after speaking with Kellen decided that excuses are not acceptable and you have to shrug a lot of things off and just keep going to be successful. What a great example he is of honor, courage and strength! After struggling through a workout with him and seeing what discipline he had, sure made me want to be a stronger person in all aspects of my life. Thank you Kellen for your great example! Thank you for serving our country, God bless!

This past week, we had the opportunity to see Marcus, Kristen, and Jonah Mailei get sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. It was such a great day and we really feel fortunate that we got to be there! Jonah is growing up so fast and judging by his size, he may be following in his Dad's football footsteps!!! Good luck in the draft next month Marcus!!!

This weekend we went to Boise to watch Kama play in the Idaho state basketball championship (for the 3rd year in a row). Kama was simply amazing and so much fun to watch. Not only did we get to watch Kama get her third State Championship ring (2 in Basketball and 1 in softball) but we had a blast hanging out with the family around the city.

This year we decided to do things a little different........instead of going out, buying flowers, opening gifts and all of that other stuff that usually comes with Valentines Day, we decided to get a bunch of friends together and hit-up our Stake Valentines Dance! Jenna and I hadn't been to a dance in years so it sure brought back some memories.......some good ones.......some not so good ones.....but it actually ended up being a blast! I never thought I'd be saying this at 25 years of age but Stake Dances Rock!...........or at least this one did!

This weekend was Amy's wedding, who is a teammate of mine, and i love weddings! It was fun being at the salt lake temple again because it always reminds me of our big day which was almost three years ago... i cant believe it! I love going to weddings because the bride and groom are always so happy and you can see the love a flowin! All you need is love... Love is all you need! Happy Valentines day everyone here in a week.

This past weekend my family was able to come down and enjoy the beautiful city of Salt Lake. We spent our time at a Jazz game, Brad's graduation... yay for my babe... in the hotel's pool, up at snowbird, at temple sqaure and gateway! It was wonderful to be able to spend the quality time together and to not have any distractions. How thankful we are for families and the love, joy, and happiness that they bring to our lives!

A couple of weekends ago we had our last two home volleyball matches and my mom, kellen , michael and brittany came up and we were able to enjoy Ogden a little. As far as the volleyball matches go, we won the second and lost the first, and afterward we got a little feel for the skydiving experience. As you can see we had a pretty good time!

I never thought i'd be saying this but Go Utah Jazz! Growing up i was always a Michael Jordan fan and not necessarily to big on Carl Malone and John Stockton. But after meeting Brad and living here in Utah for the past three years I have defenitly changed. What's so bad about Derron Williams and Carlos Boozer anyway... Along with basketball season comes the holiday season which means family, skiing, and snuggling up and watching christmas movies! I think we are both looking forward to this time of year and welcoming it with open arms! Thanks to Brad for a wonderful evening together!

Dishwasher Dilemma....

I want to give you all an update on the dishwasher.......its out! Thank you for all the sympathetic suggestions but I would like to report that I did it myself! For me, this was one of my first signs of being a true handyman. (If you can't tell, I'm very proud!!) Now, the next step is wiring an electrical box for the new dishwasher to plug in....yikes!!!! (Our old dishwasher was pre-historic and hot-wired into the wall!!)

Someone once told me that you're not truly a man until you can wire a dishwasher so I better get started!!! Any suggestions would be great......I'll start by shutting the power off....right???? I better call my Dad before I kill someone!!!!

I feel like I have known Jenna forever, yet today was only her 22nd birthday! Wow, she is a youngster! We spent the majority of the evening trying to put in our new dishwasher....which ended up not being incredibly successful. For some reason, even after about an hour of pushing and pulling, twisting and tugging our old dishwasher would not budge! We finally gave up on it and my parents (Bob and Elaine) took us out to Olive Garden to celebrate. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNA!!!!!!!

If anybody has any advice for taking out dishwashers, please share!

8 Inches of Powder!!!

Last weekend we were enjoying the nice 70 degree weather outside. This past weekend was a little different because we got absolutely dumped on.....8 inches of fresh powder to be exact!!! Though the fresh snow came as a surprise, it brought smiles to our faces because we knew it meant that ski season was that much closer!

Now (three days later) it's back to 70 degree weather. I guess I'll put my ski's back into the closet!

A taste of Coeur d'Alene!

This last weekend our team played in a Gonzaga volleyball tournament, and while there everybody was able to get a little taste of beautiful Coeur d'Alene! We went on a boat tour around the lake, went swimming, had a wonderful lunch at my grandma's house and then were able to watch Kama play in her match against Lake City (the first high school game i have ever seen of Kama's... WOW) We all had a blast and to make the weekend even better, we came out winning the tourney! Thanks family for all your support and making the weekend unforgettable for us all!

I absolutely love weddings!!! and especially when a reunion of family is involved. This last weekend we were able to attend my cousins wedding in Salt Lake. Of course my crazy schedule got in the way of something though and Brad was able to take my mom to the temple for the sealing while i was at practice. The dinner at the Joseph Smith memorial building was fabulous and here is where we cousins were able to take a picture together which was probably not done since we all were little. Here we are! (probably a third of the clan) I can't believe we are all grown up!

If you ask anybody that came to our wedding reception two years ago up in Coeur d' Alene and asked them what they remembered the most, the first response would be my beautiful wife, and the second response would be my crazy best man! Well, Christian, that crazy best man of mine finally got married in the San Diego Temple and that gave us a perfect excuse to get some California sun!

While we were in California, we got to see my brother Jeff and his family and hang out at their pool. Every time I go there I feel like I'm at a five-star resort! And it's not just the nice pool, it's the great hospitality we get when we're there!

Coeur d' Alene Idaho

Summer just isn't the same without slip n' sliding at the Griffitts house. We're not talking about a Toys-R-Us slip n' slide in a box........this is more like 150 ft. roll of plastic tarp from the Home Depot. It was Fun!

We also played a lot of Volleyball while we were up in Coeur d' Alene. Though Jenna, Lorin, Kama and Kellen showed me up, I definately won the award for most improved player! The best part about it was that when the game was over, you could cool yourself off quite easily by jumping into Coeur d Alene lake.

Summer in Seattle

This was a summer full of firsts for me and Jenna. One of the things that I got to do was take my first trip to Seattle during the 2nd week of July. The main purpose was to see Kama (Jenna's Sis) play in a basketball tourney at the University of Washington.

It was awesome spending some quality time with the family, but I've got to admit, Ivar's all-you-can-eat Sunday morning seafood buffet made the Seattle worth it for me! Yeah, I may be very carnally minded, but any chance you get to have all-you-can-eat crab legs you must take advantage of! I enjoyed every buttery bite!

I can't believe how athletic this Griffitts family is! Kama is an incredible basketball player and it was great watching her go all the way to the championship. It will be fun seeing what decisions she makes as far as her future goes with college basketball. By the looks of it, she has about every college after her!

Well, here we go, our professional blogging career officially starts now!

The 4th of July, 2008 kept in town for a change. Normally we spend the 4th up in Coeur d' Alene boating on Hayden Lake and Slip n' Sliding at the Griffitts, but this year we decided to stay in town.

Thanks to Kevin and Becca's hospitality, they graciously invited us to spend some time up at the cabin for the 4th. We watched fireworks at the Oakley rodeo, and yes, Miss Rodeo queen herself ended up sitting right next to us in the crowd. I think that made Brad's night!

The next day, we woke up early and caught the Park City 4th of July parade. Brad was pretty bumed because nobody was throwing any candy into the crowd. He quickly got over it and we ended up having a great time up in Park City, which was the first time for Jenna.
